We are so excited about our Valentine’s Day Tea Party Set.  The flow through style tea bags are filled with cute little pink hearts and the sugar cookies are so yummy looking.

IMG_1124 After taking pictures of them I thought they would make an amazing Valentine’s decoration so I left them out on my hutch.

The Beginning

For many years I enjoyed making rag dolls, doll clothes and country style household items in cloth and painted wood.

Now that there are little girls in the family my daughter and I began making hair clips for them to wear, but these cute little felt hair clips are like potato chips, you can’t just have one. So we kept making more and more clips.

My latest crafting addiction started shortly after my granddaughter got her kitchen set; now I am hopelessly addicted to making felt play food.

Children say such cute things. One day when I first began making felt food my two and a half year old granddaughter came into my sewing room looking for me and immediately spied all the felt food I completed sitting on a table. Excitedly she turned to me and said, “Grandma, I didn’t know you were getting a kitchen set”. I guess she thought if Grandma could have lots of dolls and doll clothes in her sewing room then why not a play kitchen for the play food!

Needless to say the felt food was a tremendous hit with my granddaughter. She loves creating yummy felt sandwiches. She loves the soft, squishy life-like feel that the bread has when she grabs the sandwich in her hands.
